An Inconvenient Truth
Humanity is sitting on a time bomb. Scientists around the world agree that scarcely ten years remain to avoid a global catastrophe - a major disruption of the climate system that would lead to extreme weather disturbances, floods, long periods of drought, waves Of murderous heat. This catastrophe of unprecedented magnitude, we should be the first to blame; We alone can still avoid it.
Rather than sounding the tocsin of the apocalypse or yielding to the morose delight, An inconvenient truth has chosen to illustrate and relay the action and passionate struggle of a man, former Vice-President Al Gore, who for five years has traveled the United States to persuade his fellow citizens of the urgent need to react to this crisis.
INTRODUCTION
WHY THIS TOPIC ?
We have chosen this topic because : Many people will definitely be familiar with the “global warming”, however, a few knows the reason why global warming is getting worse and what to do to decelerate it.
As we are a mixed team, (Communication and Marketing majoring and Environmental Science and Engineering majoring students) we discussed it is time to share the global warming issue and find better ways to preserve our Earth from global warming. Thus, we analyze Al Gore’s project in the movie whether it is on the right way with the researches from on-line media and knowledge we learned in the class.
These days global warming is getting severe and there are many different concerns on global warming. Our aim is to learn the cause of global warming and share our own suggestions to prevent future global warming.
The movie “An Inconvenient Truth” well shows the impacts of global warming on Earth and Al Gore practices his own project and gives advices to keep Earth from global warming.
